Hudson Highlands Fjord Trail, Inc. is a 509(a)3 supporting organization of Scenic Hudson, Inc. As such, HHFT, Inc. operates as an independently managed 501(c)3 nonprofit organization responsible for its own fundraising. All contributions support HHFT, Inc.’s mission to develop and operate an accessible linear park, in coop- eration with the State of New York, located between Cold Spring and Beacon, NY. Also in FY22, New York State allocated $20m in the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation (OPRHP) capital budget to construct the Hudson Highlands Fjord Trail Breakneck Bridge. OPRHP is managing this portion of the project, while HHFT, Inc. is managing the Breakneck Connector trail- head plaza portion of Phase 1 of the Fjord Trail project. In fiscal year 2022, HHFT received $45,055,410 in total contributions from private foundations and individuals in support of the Fjord Trail capital project, general operating budget, and endowment.
